Likha ni Isko at Iska

The Likha ni Isko at Iska section of UPOU Networks is a curated repository of Open Educational Resources (OER) produced by students, aligned with the University of the Philippines Open University’s (UPOU) mandate to advance open, inclusive, and innovative education. It recognizes the transformative potential of student-generated creative works as meaningful contributions to knowledge production, extending their relevance beyond course requirements to wider academic and public audiences.

This initiative affirms UPOU’s vision of students as active co-creators of knowledge rather than passive recipients of instruction. Through this platform, student outputs such as multimedia projects, research-based materials, and other scholarly or creative works are positioned as high-quality OERs that can support teaching, learning, and knowledge exchange within and beyond the University. In doing so, it fosters a culture of academic engagement, creativity, and collaborative knowledge-building.

To ensure the credibility, usability, and sustainability of these resources, The UPOU Center for Open and Digital Teaching and Learning (CODTL) – Educational Media Production unit institutionalizes a framework that governs their development, evaluation, and dissemination. Student works that meet established academic, ethical, and technical standards are curated and published as accessible and shareable learning materials under the Likha ni Isko at Iska section, which reinforces UPOU’s commitment to open education and public scholarship.
